    Double mutant mice developed much more aggressive lung cancers and higher tumor burden than K-rasLA1/+ mice, leading to shorter lifespans. p53R172H delta g/+ K-rasLA1/+ mice had significantly reduced survival compared with K-rasLA1/+, p53R172H delta g/+ and wild-type littermates. The p53+/- K-rasLA1/+ mice showed a very similar survival curve to published data, and indicated no difference in survival as compared to p53R172H delta g/+ K-rasLA1/+ mice.
