Genetic mutants with Prkdc, Terc alterations

Names of genes are ordered alphabetically. For the order of interventions, please see the specific paper.
  • Lifespan (days)

    199.0

  • Lifespan change (compared to wild type)

    -59.88%

  • Phenotype

Late generation mTerc-/- mice with telomere dysfunction have shorter median lifespans relative to those with intact telomeres independent of DNA-PKcs status. When combined with DNA-PKcs deficiency, the telomere deficient mice experience a further dramatic reduction in median lifespan.

  • Lifespan comparisons

Double mutant Prkdc(KO);Terc(KO) has a lifespan of 199.0 days, while single mutant Prkdc(KO) has a lifespan of 364.0 days, single mutant Terc(KO) has a lifespan of 320.0 days and wild type has a lifespan of 496.0 days.
